Wow!,God has opened doors!
Jaron and I drove Tuesday night to Klamath Falls and spent the night at my parents house. It was so good to see them! We weren't there very long before we had to leave to finish our drive to get to Monmouth,Or where my cousin and her family lives. We arrived Wednesday night. We woke up bright and early on Thursday to drive to Portland for our appointment. It was so good to see my Doctor, he has been my doctor for 7 years. He met with us to talk about everything we would have to do through the process and he was very positive saying that we can totally do this. Very Good news....my ovaries are still working great and they wont have a problems retrieving my eggs for the procedure(something we were a little nervous about). Dr. Lee met with Shawna and Abe(her husband)and he loved them both and said they are the perfect couple to do this for us! Everything about the appointment was going very smoothly and that's not the best part!
Three weeks ago I called ARC fertility(a company that finances infertility cost)I asked them if they have any payment plans for the surrogacy process unfortunately they didn't and told me all the money is due upfront. As Jaron and I were meeting with the OHSU financial advisor she mentioned ARC and I quickly said "no, they don't offer anything for us". To make sure she called ARC and they told her that just yesterday(Wed)they made a new payment packet available for the surrogate process!!!!! I talked to her on the phone and she told me to call her and they will set up a packet for us! Praise the Lord!!!!! Jaron and I were so thrilled! We couldn't believe it. We knew that God was taking care of everything for us.
That's not even the best part!
I asked the financial advisor about the cost and said "I was told its going to be around 25,000 for the process?" She said Well, If you want one fresh and one frozen try its only going to cost $13,300!!!! About $12,000 off of what we were told it would cost! The cost does go up with the more tries we want to have.
the whole appointment went so incredibly well. We were very encouraged by the whole experience we know we have a long ways to go but we know that the Lord is leading and taking care of us through the whole process.
We enjoyed the rest of our time there with Shawna, Abe and their wonderful 3 kids! It was so nice to have a few days there and hang out with them. Saturday we started our long drive home, spent the night near Klamath at our friends house and came home today(Sunday)! What a long 6 days but definitely worth every minute! Thank you all for your prayers!
