What a mighty God we serve!

So Many things have happened lately, all good things!

I got a call from Dr. Lee(OHSU Doctor) a few days ago. He told me about one of his patients just found out she wasn't able to have children. He asked if I would be willing to contact her and be someone that she can talk to. I was so thrilled that I would be able to talk to someone about the difficult emotions a woman goes through when finding out she wont be able to have children. Her Mother contacted me the next day and we talked for 45 min. She is excited to find out I was to willing to talk to her daughter. The daughter should be contacting me sometime in September, after she starts school. Please pray for me as I talk to this girl that I will be able to help her get through the anger and frustration this situation all brings, and also that my love for the Lord will shine right through me.

For those of you who don't know Jaron and I are going to do both surrogacy and Fost/adopt process.

Jaron and I started our PRIDE (Parents Resource for Information Development Education) classes. These classes happen every Saturday for ten weeks. Tomorrow will be our second week in. These classes are required. Our instructors are two great ladies that have been foster parents and will give us all the information we need to know. The classes are 3 hours long but they provide coffee so I'm pretty happy about that.

September 1st we have our licensing appointment. A woman will come to our home and check to see if we meet all the regulations for fost/adopt. This appointment will take 2-3 hours. Once we are licensed it wont be long until we get a child placed in our home for adoption. Which brings me to the most exciting part of this Blog post...

Jaron and I were presented with an opportunity to get a newborn baby to adopt! the baby is about two weeks old now. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl. We don't have a lot of information but as soon as we find out more we will let you know. The baby is in another state so the process will take a little longer but we know its all in the Lords hands. Please pray that if its the Lords will to have this baby the doors will open.

Jaron and I look back at where we were a couple years ago not know how we were going to start a family and now the Lord is giving us all these opportunities! I look at all the doors that have been open for Jaron and I, I cant help but say....Wow God! We both know we couldn't of done any of this without the Lord. We have been so blessed with the support of our family and friends.
